Consultation<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t

We offer video and telephone consultations to help our patients understand their individual treatment options and take the right decision.<\/p>\n

In this step we ll also discuss about the investigations and the medication you need in order to start your treatment. You will be offered the option to come for a short trip in Greece and have all your investigations and the paperwork done.<\/p>\n

Follow up Consultation<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t

In this step you will have a follow-up appointment with your consultant to discuss the results of your investigations and to finalize the plan of your treatment.<\/p>\n

We will decide together the best cost- effective and time- efficient way to start and complete your treatment. Your treatment timetable and the estimation of the cost will be available after this consultation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Treatment<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t

You can start your treatment either in your home country for some days and then come in Athens at the stage that you will need close monitoring or you can come in Athens from the very beginning of your treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2193<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Stimulation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The first step the stimulation of the ovaries it lasts for about 10-14 days. If you go with the option to start your treatment at your home country, you can start the medication for 5-6 days in your country and on day 6-7 of the medication you should come in Greece. Otherwise you can start the whole procedure in Greece.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After the day 6 of the injections you will need close monitoring with vaginal ultrasound and blood tests every 2-3 days until you are ready for the egg collection. All the ultrasounds and blood test will be under one roof in Athens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Egg pick-up<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If everything has gone according to plan, the oocyte or egg pick-up will follow. The oocytes will be transferred to the laboratory where it is fertilized with your partner\u2019s or a sperm donor sperm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Embryo Transfer<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There are two options offered:
1. Freeze all (and leave) and have your embryo transfer in the future
2. Have an embryo transfer and freeze the rest.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you go for a fresh embryo transfer this will happen about 3 to 5 days after the egg and sperm collection depending on your individual case.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the Embryo Transfer<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You will receive a report after the embryo transfer informing you of the transferred as well as the remaining embryos, post-transfer instructions as well as medication you will need to receive in order to support the pregnancy.<\/span><\/p>\n

This information can \u00a0be shared with your gynecologist back home. A few days after your embryo transfer you can travel home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Back home<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After you return to your home country, we continue to provide ongoing support and care. Documentation and details of your treatment can be shared your local supervising physician or GP.\u00a0<\/span>Within two weeks after your arrival home you will have a pregnancy blood test and then consult your local early pregnancy office or your gynecologist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout your treatment, a consultant of our team, your dedicated midwife and your dedicated embryologist will stand by you for a free-stress procedure with professionalism and sympathy.
